Zhydychyn Monastery

Zhydychyn St. Nicholas Monastery is a space of prayer, peace, and spiritual strength with a thousand-year history.

The monastery is one of the oldest centers of Orthodoxy in Volyn. Shrines are kept here, traditions are honored, and daily prayers for peace and prosperity are offered. The monastery is open to everyone who seeks God, needs spiritual advice, or simply wants to rest their soul in the silence of the holy walls.

We strive to make every pilgrim feel at home here. That is why we have prepared answers to the most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your visit.

The brethren of the monastery are always happy to welcome pilgrims and guests. You can join the services, talk with confessors, and find answers to important life questions.

FAQ

To submit a note in the Zhydychyn Monastery, you need to come to the monastery and write a note in one of the churches with the names of the people for whom prayers will be offered.
The current schedule of services is presented in the section WORSHIP SCHEDULE.

Daily on weekdays, the Divine Liturgy takes place at 08:00 and Vespers at 18:00. On Saturday, Divine Liturgy is at 09:00 and Vespers at 18:00. On Sunday, Divine Liturgy is at 10:00 and the Akathist to the Theotokos at 18:00.
Yes, you can. Daily on weekdays at 08:00, on Saturday at 09:00, and on Sunday at 10:00, the Divine Liturgy takes place with the possibility of confession and communion for the faithful.
In our monastery, there are no set prices for services or submitting notes. You determine the amount of the donation yourself, based on your capabilities and the call of your heart.
Yes, you can. This requires prior registration for the sacrament. Come personally to the monastery or call the number +380671042288.
Yes, you can. To do this, you need to come to the monastery for the Divine Liturgy and inform the volunteers or the brethren of the monastery about your intentions before the service begins.
The Unsleeping Psalter is not read in the monastery. This is typical only for monasteries with a large number of brethren. You can simply submit a note for the health of your relatives or loved ones.
