"You Are at Home": The Zhydychyn Monastery Welcomed Volyn Border Guards
Within the walls of the ancient Zhydychyn Monastery a special meeting took place: the monastery was visited by the soldiers of the Rapid Response Border Commandant's Office of the Volyn Border Guard Detachment. This visit became the first step in the birth of a new good tradition of spiritual restoration and support for our defenders.
Welcoming the guests, the monastery's prior, Archimandrite Konstantin, addressed the soldiers with a warm word of guidance. He emphasized that within these walls one most important rule is in force for them:
"Remember — you are at home."
The program of their stay was rich and instructive:
Historical tour: The specialists of the"Zhydychyn Center" led the soldiers along the paths of the monastery's history, telling them about the centuries-old heritage of this spiritual center.
Creative restoration: The guests tried their hand at traditional crafts — wickerwork and pottery, which allowed them to shift their attention and find inner balance.
Living fellowship: Communication practices helped the soldiers to open up and feel the support of their brothers-in-arms and the clergy.
The day concluded with a shared meal. The delicious food and the informal atmosphere transformed the official visit into a truly family gathering, filled with coziness and warmth of soul. We believe that this time spent in the ancient Zhydychyn Monastery will become a source of new strength for our soldiers.
