SUNDAY DIVINE SERVICE OF THE HOLY TRINITY
On the day of the feast of the Most Holy Trinity, the Church glorifies the one God in Three Persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The festal divine service began with common prayer. During the service the Holy Gospel was read, through which the Lord addresses each one of us, teaching love, faith, and faithfulness to His commandments.
During the divine service, Archbishop Mark of Kropyvnytskyi and Holovanivsk delivered a sermon. The theme of his sermon was the grace of the Holy Spirit.
The Archbishop revealed the depth of the teaching on the Most Holy Trinity, drawing attention to the triunity of the one God — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. For a better understanding of this truth, he offered the example of the triunity of human nature: thought, consciousness, and word, which, being different manifestations, at the same time belong to one person.
The chief task of a Christian is the acquisition of the grace of the Holy Spirit, the filling of one's life with Divine power. Yet for this, the consent of the person themselves is needed — that they open their heart and invite God into their life. A person inspired by the Holy Spirit manifests God in this world. God acts through such a person and changes this world.
Afterward a festal procession of the cross took place across the monastery grounds, during which the Archbishop sprinkled the faithful with holy water and pronounced words of gratitude and spiritual instruction for those present.
A charity fair was organized for the parishioners and guests of the monastery.
There was also a presentation of the exhibition “Our Heavenly Warriors,” presented by the veteran Ruslan Kashaiuk. The exposition was dedicated to the memory of the Ukrainian defenders who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
