Refund Policy

1. General Conditions
1.1. This Refund Policy (the “Policy”) defines the procedure and conditions for refunding charitable contributions (donations) made through the website administered by St. Nicholas Monastery, EDRPOU code 26278106, registered address: 1 Kovelska Street, Zhydychyn Village, Lutsk District, Volyn Region, 45240, Ukraine.
1.2. By making a donation through the website, the user confirms that the payment is a voluntary charitable contribution made without coercion and with awareness of its targeted or non-targeted nature (depending on the chosen collection format).
1.3. A donation is not a payment for goods or services, unless expressly stated otherwise on the website, and therefore the provisions of distance-selling legislation do not apply to such relations, except in cases expressly provided by law.
2. Period for submitting a refund request
2.1. A refund request may be submitted within 14 calendar days from the moment the transaction is made.
2.2. After this period expires, St. Nicholas Monastery has the right to refuse a refund, except in cases provided by the current legislation of Ukraine.
3. Grounds for a refund
3.1. A refund is possible in the following cases:
1. erroneous or duplicate charging of funds;
2. a technical error during the payment;
3. a payment made against the payer’s will (subject to proper confirmation);
4. other justified cases at the decision of St. Nicholas Monastery.
3.2. St. Nicholas Monastery reserves the right to request additional information or documents to confirm the grounds for a refund.
4. Procedure for submitting a request
4.1. To arrange a refund, a request must be sent to the email address: [email protected].
4.2. The request must specify:
1. the date of the payment;
2. the amount of the payment;
3. the transaction number;
4. payment details (if needed);
5. the reason for the request.
4.3. Incomplete or incorrect information may be grounds for postponing consideration of the request.
4.4. Personal data provided in a refund request is processed solely for the purpose of considering that request in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
5. Timeframes and method of refund
5.1. St. Nicholas Monastery considers a request within a reasonable period, but not more than 7 business days from the moment complete information is received.
5.2. A refund is made by the same method used for the payment, unless otherwise agreed with the payer or where technically feasible.
5.3. The actual time of crediting funds depends on the rules of the payer’s bank and/or WayForPay.
6. Fees and costs
6.1. Fees of payment systems, banks and/or WayForPay are non-refundable, unless otherwise provided by the rules of the relevant provider.
6.2. In the event of a partial refund, commission costs may be withheld from the amount to be refunded, where permitted by current law.
7. Limitation of liability
7.1. St. Nicholas Monastery is not liable for:
1. delays or refusal to process a transaction by WayForPay;
2. technical failures, interruptions in the operation of banking institutions;
3. errors made by the payer when entering payment details;
4. failures in the operation of Hetzner or other technical services that affected payment processing.
7.2. All disputes are resolved through negotiations, and, failing agreement, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
8. Personal data protection
8.1. Personal data provided in a refund request is processed solely for the purpose of considering that request and in accordance with the Privacy Policy of St. Nicholas Monastery.
9. Final provisions
9.1. St. Nicholas Monastery has the right to amend this Policy without prior notice to users. The current version is always available on the website.
9.2. Making a donation means the user’s agreement to the terms of this Policy.
